I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I want to thank all of you who have supported me this year. It has been a joy to meet each one of you, and to get to know you. This is a special time of the year for me, because it makes me look at myself and realize how blessed I truly am. I have made it through the first year of business during a hard economic time and that is because of you, so THANK YOU!
Going into the 2nd year am I trying to bring you some new and exciting classes. I have meet some really talented people, and they are willing to come and teach and share their talent. So hopefully you will find a class you would like to take. COME JOIN THE FUN!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! ANNIVERSARY
It’s my first year anniversary and I am having a party!! The earlier you come the more you save!
Starting a 8:00am till 9am you will save 30% store wide on all regular priced items.
From 9am till 10:00am will save 25% store wide.
From 10:00am till 5:00pm you will save 20% off store wide>
all precut fat quarters will be $1.50 each (there will be no fat quarters cut on sale day.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH
In January I will be starting a block of the month. This is not your typical block of the month.
We will be making a sampler quilt using 12in star blocks.
Your first block will cost you $10.00 and all the rest will be free if you come to one of the meeting dates and show me your completed block and listen to what’s going on in the store. If you miss a meeting or don’t finish your block, you can still continue but it will cost you $5.00 for your next block. I will be limiting this to 50 people, so come sign up to join in on this event.

SWEET HEART PILLOW
Just in time for Valentines day!! This is a fast and fun quilt as you go pillow for that special person in your life. We will be starting out with an emboirdried center (don’t worry if you don’t know how I will teach you) then will work magic to make this beautiful pillow. This is a great way to use up scraps. Come into the store and see the 3 samples that I have made up. This is a Country Bumpkin pattern that I have designed myself.

DAY AND NIGHT
By special request we are offering this class once again. This is a Eleanor Burns strip method quilt that gives you a wonderful quilt fast and easy, but looks like you worked really hard on it. Come into the store and see the sample. Don’t waste time to come and sign but for this fun class it’s already half full.

FISH IN THE OVEN (MITT)
This pattern by Vanilla House Designs is just fun to make! It makes a great house warming gift, or just make some to replace those worn out oven mitts that you have at home while joining in the fun.

Beginning quilting
This is a nice introduction to quilting, we will be making a sampler quilt from the book by Alex Anderson’ Start Quilting.” You will learn several techniques while doing different blocks. When you sign up for this class I offer a get starting kit that includes mat, ruler, rotary cutter at a 30 % savings.

Venetian Tiles:
Create the feeling of the old world with a quilt reminiscent of the old tile floors and mosaics of

MACHINE QUILTING
Do you have unfinished quilts, well this is the class for you then. Come learn all the tricks of quilting on you own sewing machine.
Your machine will need to be able to drop it’s feed dogs and a extension table is needed. Come into the store and see some of the samples of the teachers work.

WATERFALLS
This quilt is a great introduction to paper piecing. Come into the store to see the sample. This is a unique quilt that is easy but gives you stunning effect.

STAIN GLASS QUILTS
This is a wonderful process that gives you a stained glass look without all that hard work. You will be making a mountain scene. Come join the fun.

Disappearing Nine Patch
This is one of those quilts that is so fast and easy you don’t need a pattern. You will make a nine patch and then cut it up to get this wonderful quilt. So fast and easy I bet you can’t just make one.

Towerhouse Quilts(custom quilting)
Longarm quilting by Lisa Bee Wilson. Lisa is a local longarm quilter who has been doing some of my quilts so I can recommend her. I this time her turn around time is wonderful and prices are reasonable. You can drop off your quilt her at the Country Bumpkin and pick them up here if you wish or make other arrangements. Come on into the store and see the quilts that have been quilted by Lisa.

I hope this news letter finds everyone well. It’s hard to believe that summer is over and fall is in the air, and Christmas is just around the corner. – OCTOBER CLASSES –
✄ BIRDIE SLING BAG: October 3rd 10:30am - 4:00pm
This is one fun bag to make! It’s great for that larger print fabrics that you love, but don’t know what to do with it.
Come on in the shop and see it made up in the new line of fabric called Andromeda.
Fee: $20.00 plus purchase of a pattern
✄ Fabric Scarf: October 10th @ 10:30am – 4:00pm
Come make yourself or family and friends a warm scarf for those cold days that are coming. You will learn how to strip your fabric and then crotchet it into a scarf. Sample in store, come on in to see.

✄ Beginner Quilting Class (Quilting 101): October 7th 14th, 21st, 28th
6:00pm – 9:00pm*
We will be making a simple Irish chain. This is a good place to start. You will be learning the abc’s of quilting while making something beautiful. This class is over a four week period. You will need a walking foot for your machine to do simple quilting.
Fee: $45.00
✄ Landscape Quilting: October 17th @ 10:00am - 4:00pm
Come into to the shop and see the beautiful mountain scape created out of fabric.
Your imagination is the only thing you need to make this beautiful quilt.
Fee: $20.00
✄ Tessellation: October 24th @ 10:30am – 4:00pm
This is a great quilt to build from your stash! You only need 2"x44" strip of each fabric. The colors seem to be tumbling into each other and give you a dramatic effect, and the block is so easy to make.

NOVEMBER CLASSES –
✄ Log Cabin Pumpkin: October 31st & November 7th @ 10:30am - 4:00pm*
This quilt has been hanging in the store and several of you have asked to have a class on it. This will take two full days to get you to where you can put it together, and you will have home work, but the results are beautiful.
This class will fill up fast! So don’t hesitate.

✄ Stained Glass: November 14th @ 10:30am – 4:00pm
Discover a fresh approach to quilt making inspired by the style and grace of stained glass windows.
This project is a terrific technique that makes it construction almost too easy to be real! So come learn this wonderful technique and have lots of fun.

✄ Log Cabin Wreath: November 21st @ 10:30am - 4:00pm
This wreath is an old pattern, but when up dated with newer fabric just looks great. It’s sew simple that you could make several as Christmas Gifts. Come into the store to see my version of the old pattern by Eleanor Burns.

This piecing system is fast, fun, and forgiving! Make’s timeless blocks quicker than ever! Great for all levels of quilters! No templates required! Perfect for Layer Cakes’ and Charm Packs!

✄ Double Duty Table Runner: December 5th @ 10:30am - 4:00pm
This is a quilt as you go technique so when you finish piecing the table runner you just add you binding and your done. It’s great for those novelty prints. This is also a fast easy project and makes great gifts!

✄ SEW DAYS!: December 12th and 19th @ 10:30am – 4:00pm
Here is some extra days to just come and sew to finish those projects before Christmas. Space will be limited to only 6 people so sign up early. No fee just come and sew.

✄ NEW YORK MINUTE: June 6th 10:30 am-4:30 pm
This is a fun, fast quilt. Great for the beginner quilter. There are two samples in the store come in and see what a difference in fabric choice can make. This quilt starts with a star center and then we work out from there.
Fee: $20.00 plus pattern
✄ MANHATTAN BAG: June 15th @ 10:30-4:30 & June 25th @ 6pm-9pm
This is a sassy bag from Pink Sand Beach Designs. You will choose from making one with several different colors for each panel or keep it simple with a whole cloth look. Come into the store and check out our samples to see which one you like.

This is a pattern from buggy barn that uses a fast freezer paper method to piece a basket with a star in the middle of it. You only have one seam to match up on each block!!

This is Eleanor Burns newest creation, you only have to use 2 fabrics to make this quilt that goes together fast. Eleanor does it again with her fast strip quilting techniques and her specialized ruler that give you a stunning effect. Come see the sample in the store.

This is a fun class that lets you decorate your house while learning some fusible appliqué techniques and how to use some of those stitches on your machine that you look at and wonder what to do with them.

This quilt is for your fun side! Learn to appliqué the fast and easy way! This is the perfect beginner appliqué project. The pieces are a little bigger allowing beginners to maneuver around pieces easily at the machine and complete their project super fast. THIS IS ONE CUTE BIRD!!!

This is a two day class where you will paint on fabric the first day and then let it dry and then come back the next day and create your landscape quilt . You can bring your own picture to work off of or use the pattern the instructor has available. Come into the shop and see the great sample.

RECESSION BUSTER –
The Recession Busters Classes are classes that don’t take a lot of time or money, but deliver a whole lot of fun. We have three different projects lined up for you I hope that you will come in and join us for some fun.
