About Us

Welcome to our website.  Who are we?  Well, we are Country Bumpkin Quilt Store owners, Jeannette Singler and James Hanson.  How did we get here?  Here is a little history:

Hi, my name is Jeannette.  I opened my first quilt store in Enterprise, OR about eight years ago with my husband Joseph Singler.  It was a great little shop in a small country town.  I learned a lot of sewing techniques and tips from the locals.  Our shop did very well.  In 2003 I lost Joseph to liver cancer.  I continued to run the shop on my own while raising my daughter until 2006.

Then I met James Hanson a wonderful man that was a truck driver by trade.  We discovered he had a knack for quilting and he was pretty good at it.  So James helped me run the store until 2008. That is when I found out that I had cancer.  I decided to lease out the store while going through treatment and James went back to truck driving.

In November 2008 my daughter and I moved to Eugene, Or.  James (now my fiancé) and I decided we wanted to go back into quilting.  We found a cute little store in Pleasant Hill, Or and opened up shop on January 2, 2009.  We sell fabric, buttons, patterns and other small items.  Our goal is to some day soon (hopefully 2009) start quilting classes.

We welcome you to come and visit us.  We would love to meet you!
